RE: Marriage Stats by JD Harper July 21st, 2008
- Love Unconditional, it is a noun not a verb.
- Grace Do you look for ways to get even or do you look for ways to give them something they don’t deserve.
- Peace Would you consider your house full of peace? Think of 1 way to provide more peace for you family.
- Joy Do you thanks God for what he has given you? Do you mean it? It should show up in your actions toward you family.
- Mercy Forgiving somebody when they don’t deserve it. Isn’t that what you want? Give some
- Kindness When was the last time you did something just because you love your spouse, do it again.
- Faithful Say anything you like but at the end of day be faithful to your spouse in thought and actions. Your marriage will be stronger.
I was over at

and found his perspective interesting on “Fundamentalism” .
If you want to know what he said that’s what his blog is for and I would encourage you to go read it.
Fundamentalism is often overused term that has gotten out of control. Lets look at the definition ” a movement or attitude stressing strict and literal adherence to a set of basic principles” so if you consider yourself a Christian Fundamentalist and as a group have a divorce rate of 40 percent then lets figure out whats wrong.
Let just start by quoting Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it? We can device ourselves into thinking anything so let be careful to compare ourselves to Christ and not to each other.
Instead of having the label of Christian fundamentalist lets flip that around to help see it a little better……. fundamentally like Christ. Let me just list seven ways we can be like Christ to improve our marriage.
That is start of the list that would make us more fundamentally like Christ. Try that list out on your marriage and let me know how it works out.
Next time you hear the words Christian fundamentalist on the news see if it fits the list.
